About

  • Education

I was home-schooled until age 15 and then duel-enrolled at St. Petersburg College in Clearwater, Florida. I completed my AA and AS in Engineering Technology with a focus on Digital Design & Modeling in December of 2017. I am currently working towards my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

  • BSA Scouting

My Scouting journey began as a Tiger Cub with Pack 64 in Oldsmar, Florida. At the age of 16, I completed a long-time goal – and my greatest accomplishment – by earning the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 64. I am now an Assistant Scout Master for Oldsmar Troop 64 and Safety Harbor Troop 487. Be Prepared!

  • Work

    St. Petersburg College
From 2016 to 2018, I worked as a lab assistant in the Engineering Department of St. Petersburg College. In addition to tutoring in Auto CAD, Autodesk Inventor, and SolidWorks, I maintain department equipment and guided students in proper use of 3D printers, laser engravers, metrology instruments, hand tools. and CNC milling machines.

    Sofwerx
During 2018 I worked with the Foundry (Softwerx’s machine shop) and Office Management to fix and up keep the Sofwerx facilities. Work ranged from light duty construction to designing and manufacturing custom parts in the shop.

    Inventorium
In late 2018 I founded Inventorium which specializes in custom one off and prototypes parts and assemblies. Helping clients with all phases of the project from design to manufacturing to testing.

  • FIRST Team Duct Tape

For 6 years, I was a member of Team Duct Tape, a FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team. Starting as an apprentice, I worked my way to become the team’s Mechanical & CAD lead. During my membership, Team Duct Tape competed in Florida State Championships, South Super Regional Championships, and a World Championship. Team Duct Tape twice earned the State of Florida Inspire Award, the highest recognition at that level. I continue to share my FIRST experience as a mentor and FIRST alumni.

  • FIRST Robotics Dean’s List Finalist

In an effort to recognize leadership and dedication of outstanding FIRST Tech Challenge students, the Kamen Family sponsors the FIRST Dean’s List Award. I was honored to be one of two students in the State of Florida named to the 2015-16 Dean’s List.

  • Volunteering

Since 2014, I have been a weekly volunteer at Oldsmar Cares, a local food pantry. My duties include stocking shelves, escorting clients through the pantry, and training new volunteers. As of April 2019, I have devoted over than 600 hours and plan to continue as the pantry expands to serve.

  • Other Interests

Video Production – Since 2011, I have self-studied the art of photography and videography. I enjoy capturing performances and creating amateur videos for family and friends. In 2016, I interned at JibJab.com in Marina del Rey, California on Story Bots, an award-winning children’s educational program. I assisted in filming B-roll, performing color corrections, and keying green screen footage. Watch season 1 Ep. 2, How do Airplanes Fly? for my brief cameo. Look for the hat!

Farming – During summers, I spend time in Maine working on a family farm. I have the chance to drive forklifts and front-end loaders; I particularly enjoy operating row crop tractors in the field. We also maintain and repair the equipment onsite which has given me the opportunity to learn industrial mechanical skills.
